Evolving economic activities create the necessity to align VET to current needs of the economy and society, to develop key competences for the workforce while bringing innovation in VET.

In this respect, the partnership under WATECO created short videos explaining how industrial treatment works. We focused on a practical approach towards the possibility of recovering raw materials, recycling and reusing waters related to the industrial water treatment.

The videos emphasise the importance of proper industrial treatment in connection with environment protection, taking that industry is a relevant source of pollution.

The 4 videos were created on various wastewater treatment processes, and were integrated into an online training course, tested with our target group in both Germany and Italy. The mechanical, chemical and biological processes described are used in industrial wastewater treatment, but also in the treatment of municipal wastewater. Examples of particularly polluted wastewater are hospital wastewater, which is cleaned directly at the hospital in a special sewage treatment plant at the Marienhospital in Gelsenkirchen. Other processes such as Flotation are explained in the online training course, also with the integration of other short videos.

Target Group:

  • Trainers and professionals in enterprises which, by the nature of their activity,

have to deal with industrial water treatment

  • Italian VET providers offering training in waste management

  • Individuals interested in training regarding industrial water treatment , or are already enrolled in training

The client manages his own materials, links, tour details, and schedules and streams his own live short videos and conferences.
